MEC Philippines hires UM's Adel Tuason as business and strategic planning director

MANILA - MEC Philippines has appointed media agency veteran Adel Tuason as business unit and strategy planning director.

Tuason will be reporting directly to managing director of MEC Philippines Malu Vasallo and his appointment is effective immediately.

In his role, Tuason is tasked to enhance MEC's relationship with key client including Wrigley, Sony and Caltex.

He will also lead integrated planning across the agency and lead the company's business development drive.

Tuason brings with him a wealth of experience and insight with over 14 years in the industry.

Prior to MEC, he was Universal McCann's AOR director for prestigious brands including Bank of the Philippine Islands and Ayala Land Incorporated as well as Jollibee Foods Corporation.

He was also strategic planning director on the Globe telco account at the IPG firm.

On his appointment, Vasallo, commented: "Adel has a great track record of integrated marketing and brand building, of winning key new business and has a host of creative recognitions. He is a fabulous addition to our MEC team."
