Wang (pictured) will be based in Shanghai and report directly to David Shen, MD of McCann Healthcare China. He will lead the medical team and enhance the agency's offering from both a healthcare science knowledge standpoint and developing healthcare marketing solutions for clients.

Wang comes armed with 20 years pharmaceutical, academic and client side experience in medical and regulatory affairs, mostly from pharmaceutical companies like Weyth and Pfizer China.

His last position was medical and regulatory affairs director at Meirui Pharmaceutical, which was brought out by GSK last January. Based in Nanjing, he was responsible for product clinical study and product registration in China.

Prior to that, he was the GM of Shilai Medical Device Company in Shanghai and regulatory affairs director at Wyeth China for almost six years.

Wang was also one of the founding members of Pfizer China medical and regulatory affairs in the earlier set up stage of Pfizer China in Dalian. He was a practicing doctor in the infectious disease hospital in Jiamusi in the Heilongjiang province, a lecturer on Microbiological and Immunology in Dalian Medical University and also a Biochemistry teacher.

"Jack is one of those rare talents that we’re looking for - a perfect balance of science and passion,” said Shen. “Jack has 20 years pharmaceutical industries experience in medical and regulatory affairs, and brings a client’s side depth of view which enhances our services and deliverables by further tailoring our offerings and fueling continuous growth of our business.”
