LivingSocial enters Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE – Social deal site LivingSocial has entered the Southeast Asia market through the acquisitions of three daily deal websites.

It has bought Ensogo, DealKeren and GoNabit, expanding the consumer deal portal's reach to 21 countries, up from 13 previously.

Ensogo, which has businesses in Thailand and the Philippines, also owned DealKeren in Indonesia. It is believed that the full network covers more than 800,000 members.

GoNabit, meanwhile, is based in the United Arab Emirates, and has operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Lebanon, Jordan and Kuwait.

With these most recent acquisitions included, the Washington-based LivingSocial now claims 39 million subscribers and 2,000 employees worldwide.
