Live English makes light-hearted fun of Cantonese pronunciation

HONG KONG - Live English has tasked Eight Partnership with the launch of a new print campaign to promote its English pronunciation courses.

Live English makes light-hearted fun of Cantonese pronunciation
The localised initiative mixes and matches Roman letters to Chinese characters with similar ending sounds to represent typical Cantonese pronunciation of English. The ads are designed to be received as an inside joke among the target audience in Hong Kong.
 
The print creative will initially run in A Plus, the monthly magazine of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Public Accountants in September, and will roll out to other similar professional publications and online in its next phase.
