A search for Lau's replacement is currently underway.

Lau was appointed to his current post two years ago and during his tenure he has built a strong marketing team and succesfully raised brand awareness levels. According to Lenovo, Lau and his team have raised purchase consideration rates toward the brand, contributing to its market share in Asia-Pacific and Latin America of 11.3 per cent.

Campaigns launched under Lau include 'Los Doers', 'Yoga', and 'Do network'. Lau has also helped build up the brand's corporate reputation and end-user awareness, according to Lenovo.
