Impact Asia China scoops MGM Grand San Ya

SHANGHAI - Impact Asia China has won MGM Grand San Ya Hotel resort’s PR retainer account following a recent pitch with undisclosed agencies, reported Fiona Ng, MD of its China office.

The 665-room hotel resort in Hainan Island, South China is opening in Q4 this year.

Impact Asia China will be charged with the opening PR and publicity for the new resort. According to Ng, “This MGM Grand San Ya is highly regarded and the first non-gaming hotel. We are very happy to win and work on this account.”

San Ya lies at the southern tip of Hainan Island, dubbed as the ‘Hawaii of the East’. Other big hotel groups like Hilton, InterContinental and Mandarin Oriental are already present there.

Impact Asia is an independent PR agency group with a strong focus on luxury, lifestyle and hospitality industry. Its current regional hotel client portfolio include Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont and Sofitel.

Reported last month, Impact Asia also won the Top Marques Macau PR account for Hong Kong and China.
