Hoffman wins Red Hat retainer for Singapore

SINGAPORE - Red Hat, an open source provider, has handed its Singapore public relations duties to The Hoffman Agency, effective this month.

Under the one-year contract, the agency will oversee media strategy and brand elevation initiatives to assisst Red Hat in enhancing its connection and credibility with stakeholders.

Mayda Jutahkiti, general manager at The Hoffman Agency Singapore, noted that the relationship between Red Hat and The Hoffman Agency goes back to 2005, when the two worked on a regional campaign to generate awareness and educate the market about open source.

“The landscape is different today where open source has gone mainstream and most of today’s largest clouds are built and run on open source,” she added.

The agency has started on a communications push to showcase Red Hat’s open source technologies, ranging from operating system, virtualisation, middleware and cloud computing.
