Health Promotion Board launches flu awareness campaign

SINGAPORE - The Health Promotion Board (HPB) of Singapore has launched a through-the-line drive to warn locals of the infectious nature of influenza.

The month-long campaign, produced by DDB, will run on free-to-air TV, TV Mobile in buses and cable. The campaign can be seen in print and outdoor channels such as MRT trains and lifts in office buildings as well.

Other initiatives include BTL elements such as a two-metre measuring tape collateral pack that comes attached to the Today daily newspaper and entertainment magazine, 8 Days plus “get well soon” greeting cards with a mask attached inside that can be see at pharmacies and clinics.

According to a spokesperson from DDB, HPB’s latest campaign is to “address and correct Singaporeans’ misconception that flu is harmless and to engage them in adopting appropriate actions to avoid spreading the flu, or when they are coughing or sneezing.”
