MANILA - Globe Telecom has partnered with Singapore’s Out There Media to roll out a mobile advertising platform offering in the Filipino market.

Globe Telecom launches mobile ad-platform in the Philippines

Called ‘My rewards, my globe plus’, the mobile advertising service is the latest addition to Globe’s loyalty programme, offering a points-earning option for its 24.6 million postpaid and prepaid subscribers.

The new M-Ads service offers subscribers a range of rewards redeemeable using the points they earn with every reload.

Rewards include free text messages and call minutes, branded mp3 players, LCD TVs, DVD players and trips to local and foreign destinations.

Ernest Cu, president and CEO of Globe, believes mobile advertising will create a new segment in the local advertising industry. “This new service will enable our subscribers to get more out of the brands they love,” said Cu. “By integrating this opt-in service into our rewards programme, we hope to give another superior experience for our customers, exclusively from Globe.”

The new system introduces a next-generation permission-based mobile advertising service for opt-in customers. Globe subscribers will be able to choose the mobile ads they wish to receive from their preferred brands or products and services they want to try. If a subscriber opts to receive M-Ads, he can earn points redeemable against discounts and free gifts from the loyalty program for all of its subscribers.

‘My rewards, my globe plus’ launch partners include Unilever, McDonald’s and HSBC.
