FT promotes Molloy to lead China online and lifestyle titles

HONG KONG - The Financial Times (FT) has appointed Dan Molloy (pictured) as president of FTChinese.com and FT Rui, the publication's lifestyle magazine for China, following the return of predecessor James Kynge to the UK.

Formerly deputy commercial director for Asia-Pacific, Molloy will be based in Hong Kong, where he will be responsible for the business development and commercial operations of both titles. He will lead newly appointed FTChinese.com managing director Tracy Zhang and FT Rui managing director Qing Shen, who are both based in Beijing, while reporting to Angela Mackay, the FT’s executive director and head of Asia-Pacific.

During his career at the FT, Molloy has also worked as regional advertising director for North Asia from a base in Tokyo, overseeing print and online advertising sales in the Japanese and Korean markets.
