Fonterra shortlists three agencies in media review

ASIA-PACIFIC - New Zealand-based dairy company Fonterra has further shortlisted agencies in its ongoing planning and buying media review.

The three agencies understood to be involved are OMD, MediaCom and Carat.

The pitch was launched to review media capabilities and rates on a market-by-market basis in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates.

The incumbent media agency for nine of these markets is OMD, while Optimedia is the incumbent agency in Vietnam. 

A total of four agencies were shortlisted in September for the 10 markets: OMD, Mediacom, Carat and Mediabrands. Optimedia was shortlisted for the Vietnam market specifically.
