DDB Group makes senior creative promotions and hires

SINGAPORE - DDB Group Singapore has made significant senior creative promotions and new hires, including Thomas Yang's appointment to creative director.

Yang, who joined the agency a year ago, has been promoted to creative director while Francis Tan, currently head of art, has been promoted as the head of film and content, to cater to the industry’s growing needs in the area of TV and film production.

Francis Ooi, Joel Chin and Khalid Osman, currently creative group heads, have been promoted to associate creative directors. The agency has also promoted Lester Lee to senior writer.

In addition, DDB Group has hired Andrew Hook, Batey Ads' former ECD, as creative director. He will report directly to DDB and RAPP Singapore’s ECD, Joji Jacob.

With over 10 years in the industry, Hook has worked on a wide spectrum of accounts which include Singapore Airlines, Mercedes-Benz, Qatar Airways, Audi, Coca-Cola and Telstra.

The agency’s team of creative leaders will continue to support Jacob and the chief creative officer of DDB Group Singapore, Neil Johnson, to oversee the agency group’s creative and design teams to provide greater level of integration and output across all its client accounts.
