Charlie Newbery joins Red Fuse in Hong Kong from Starcom in Dubai

HONG KONG - Charlie Newbery is the new Asia head of media for Red Fuse Communications, which was set up by WPP in 2012 as a dedicated agency serving Colgate-Palmolive.

In his new role, Newbery will lead the delivery of media strategy and implementation services to all of Colgate-Palmolive's brands across Asia.

He will be leading a regional media team in Hong Kong, as well as overseeing the MEC network across 12 Asian countries.

He joins Red Fuse from Starcom EMEA in Dubai, where he worked on Emirates Airlines, GSK and on Kraft/Mondelez.

Prior to that, Newbury worked at MediaCom and UM in London, and also spent time as a client marketer at News International, where he rebranded and relaunched The Sunday Times.

Based in Hong Kong, Newbery will report to Jason Oke, regional managing director of Red Fuse Communications.
