Carat, MEC Taiwan partner on TVCs for Blue Camp in upcoming election

TAIPEI - Carat and MEC Taiwan have been charged to run a TV-heavy national marketing campaign for the Kuomingtang (KMT), also known as the Blue Camp, for the upcoming five mega city mayoral election on 27 November.

The mayoral elections include Taipei City, Taipei County, Taichung, Tainam and Kaohsiung. The campaign will cover a number of TVCs across various channels and is supported by radio promotions until the end of this month.

Both agencies won the nation-wide media assignment earlier this summer.

According to a source close to the news, “President Ma Ying-jeuo of KMT was elected two years ago, similar to President Obama in the US. It’s like mid-term exam for them. The five mega city mayoral election is very special this year becuase the KMT and DDP (the Green Camp) votes are very close in Taipei.”
