Burson-Marsteller appoints new MD for marketing & training

SINGAPORE – Burson-Marsteller announced the appointment of Steve Bowen as the new regional managing director for marketing and training in Asia Pacific.

In this new role, Bowen will be tasked to oversee marketing and training in Asia-Pacific as well as establish a brand marketing practice in the firm's Singapore office.

He will report to Asia Pacific president and CEO Bob Pickard and Singapore market leader Allison Lim. 

Bowen has over 15 years of experience in areas relating to corporate communications, brand management, training and coaching and has served leadership positions with a diverse range of multi-national companies including automotive, financial, education and defense.

"Steve Bowen offers a unique blend of Asian consultancy experience and client-side global perspective," said CEO, Bob Pickard. "His marketing prowess and training capabilities will help us further cement B-M's position and increase our profile as Asia-Pacific's premium PR brand." 

Previously, Bowen served Edelman and led its team in Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and Jakarta in various capacities. 

Bowen has also managed publications and research for the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea, managed communications for the Korean Ministry of Finance, been on the 2002 Korea World Cup Organising Committee and has been involved in the launch of Korea's award winning Incheon International Airport.
