BBDO/Proximity strengthens management lineup

SINGAPORE - BBDO/Proximity Asia has strengthened its management line up with internal restructuring.

Rod Strother (pictured), the current managing director of Proximity Singapore has been appointed to the new position of regional business director for BBDO/Proximity Singapore while as previously reported Vic Sithanasan will be moving from Proximity Malaysia to Singapore to take on the role of general manager of Proximity Singapore. 

Strother will now be responsible for the overall management of client’s accounts, and will be supporting Richard Fraser, managing director of Proximity Asia in the development of the Proximity network throughout the region. Sithanasan, meanwhile will be responsible for leading the Singapore Proximity team, the development of the regional hub and for building strong relationships and collaboration across Proximity and BBDO

Both roles will report into BBDO/Proximity Singapore CEO Jean-Paul Burge.

Commenting on these changes Burge said, “I’ve known them both for some time and I am confident that they will maintain our momentum as we manage a rapidly developing offer in Singapore.”

In addition to these two changes, Proximity Malaysia has promoted Janet Teo from the role of business unit head to the role of business director, Proximity. Teo will be responsible for the overall growth and operations of Proximity Malaysia.
