BBDO/Proximity hires Jonathan Teo as ECD in Singapore
Teo will be joining the agency in August and will work with chief creative officer and chairman Danny Searle in developing the creative department.

He has 20 years' industry experience, having started his career in Singapore working with Neil French, and has spent most of his career in Australia at Saatchi & Saatchi and Campaign Palace Sydney, followed by five years at George Patterson.

Teo was most recently chief creative office of Y&R in China - looking after the WPP network’s key accounts across Greater China.

Throughout his career Jonathan has worked across a broad range of global brands and accounts including Toyota, Lexus, P&G, Panasonic, LG, Telstra, Optus, ANA Airline, Commonwealth Bank, Qantas Airways, Arnott’s and Danone.

On the appointment, Searle said: “I have known Jonathan for ages and worked with him at Campaign Palace in Australia. It is going to be fantastic working with him again. He is a seriously good creative director and has done great work everywhere he has been.”

BBDO/Proximity SEA president and Singapore CEO, Jean-Paul Burge, added: “This is one of those critical hires that will play a part in defining the next few years of the development of our Singapore office.”

“Highly creative, highly accomplished and a thoroughly nice guy, Jonathan will fit in easily into our culture and help us in the next stage of growth as well as in continuing to deliver great integrated work for our clients,” said Burge.
