Bates 141 New Delhi wins Zen Mobiles' creative business

NEW DELHI – Zen Mobiles, part of India’s Teleecare Network, has appointed Bates 141 New Delhi after a pitch that involved Saatchi & Saatchi.

The pitch was held in mid-May. The first campaign from Bates 141 is set to launch in August. "We are focusing on television and print primarily, while our plans for radio, OOH and digital are also in place," said Smarth Bansal, head of marketing at Zen Mobiles.

Bates 141 New Delhi is also tasked to develop brand awareness in the competitive mobile market of India. Just this month, Zen Mobile signed with Indian mega star Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador.

According to managing director of Zen Mobiles Deepesh Gupta, the company plans to double the its revenue in the first half of this year. He also said Zen Mobiles currently services up to 60 per cent of the country.

Separately this month, Bates 141 Hong Kong won the Xerox printer business.

Bates 141's  Singapore operations also saw Frederique Covington stepping up as the managing partner for Southeast Asia and head of strategy for Asia.
