Barney Loehnis to leave Asia-Pacific, possibly Ogilvy

HONG KONG - Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific's regional head of digital, Barney Loehnis, has decided to move with his family to New York for personal reasons this month and will likely also be leaving the network.

A spokesperson from Ogilvy told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the company has no details on Loehnis' replacement at present and they will be assessing the situation internally.

While Ogilvy and Loehnis have discussed opportunities for him with Ogilvy in the US, when called for comment, Loehnis disclosed that he will likely be pursuing opportunities external to the network. "I'm sad to leave, but excited for the future in the US and looking forward to coming back to Asia," said Loehnis.

Loehnis has been with Ogilvy since 2010 when he joined OgilvyOne to lead its digital services across the region. He joined from Aegis' Isobar where he was network director in Asia-Pacific.
