APCO appoints corporate advisory and public affairs head in India

NEW DELHI – APCO Worldwide has hired Samiran Gupta as executive director of its corporate advisory and public affairs practice in India.

Gupta has joined the consultancy from Access India Advisors Limited (AIAL), a management consulting and business advisory practice which he founded.

APCO’s managing director for India, Sukanti Ghosh, said that Guptas’s “extensive knowledge in assisting corporations with setting up industrial and services activities will be a valuable resource”.

Prior to establishing AIAL, Gupta served as general manager of Media Asia, where he was responsible for the launch of India’s first satellite-linked newspaper, The Asian Age.

He is also a founding member of the IPTV India Forum and an advisor for the non-profit organisation One Laptop Per Child.
