Adidas backs basketball via short films

HONG KONG - Adidas Hong Kong has created a four-part short film series to mark the start the 2008/09 basketball campaign in November.

Twelve ordinary basketball fans from the US and China are featured alongside NBA stars Kevin Garnett, Gilbert Arenas, Dwight Howard, Tracy McGrady, Tim Duncan and Chauncey Billups. The films are titled ‘NBA tested. Brotherhood ready’.

The films show the fans and the athletes spending time together. Their journey across the US is documented and shared online. It will also be the basis of adidas’ new TVC, which will be shown on ESPN and now TV in November.

The theme of the films ties in with the launch of the Team Signature Commander and Creator basketball footwear and apparel collection. It will be available in retailers in Hong Kong from 3 November.
