BBH sends Chupa Chups' Chuck on alien adventure in global TVC

GLOBAL - Chuck, the unflappable mascot for lollipop brand Chupa Chups, nearly becomes an alien abuctee in the latest 'Life less serious' TVC by BBH Asia Pacific for the Perfetti Van Melle candy brand.

Chuck's schtick is that he handles even the most outlandish situations without batting an eye, so engrossed is he on sucking his ever-present lollipop.

The latest spot sees him not reacting in any discernible way to being levitated up to a tiny alien spacecraft. The pilots of the UFO get a taste of the candy and react in a multicolored light display.

Douglas Hamilton, deputy creative director for BBH Asia Pacific said the spot marks "the dawn of a new chapter where Chuck will spread his Life Less Serious message across the known universe.”

The TVC will launch across the Asian and European markets this month.
