Y&R Philippines helps Maynilad Water set Guinness World Record

Private water management firm Maynilad Water Services earned the Guiness World Record of 'Largest pipe drum ensemble' with the help of Y&R Philippines.

In its quirky event as part of the company’s 2011 Customer Service Rally, 1,874 Maynilad employees rocked the SMX Convention Center in Manila using water pipes to play out a rhythm of beats in front of more than 2,000 guests.

Mary Buenaventura, COO at Y&R Philippines, said, “We wanted to create an event which would demonstrate Maynilad employees’ commitment to working together to deliver excellent service and what better way than to come up with an event which actually uses the very pipes which deliver clean, safe water every day to people across the Philippines.”
