Williams Lea Tag has promoted Hina Wainwright to global head of marketing, based in Hong Kong.

Wainwright was previously Asia-Pacific marketing director at WLT, a role she took on in May 2013. Before that, she worked at Hong Kong marketing agency GPJ, having moved from London where she held various leadership roles.

She told Campaign Asia-Pacific that she will continue to build WLT’s marketing function globally and “ensure we have best-in-class marketing specialists in each region”.

“I want to solidify our position as the recognised marketing activation partner to brands worldwide and continue to develop a consistent customer experience across all channels,” Wainwright added. Her remit includes driving WLT’s digital transformation, brand proposition and customer experience capabilities.

Speaking to the issue of being a global marketing head based in Asia, Wainwright said APAC was a key region for WLT, and the best way to understand its complexity is to have experienced executive in market.

“We have a diverse global leadership team that is reflective of the diverse nature of both our business and clients,” she added.
