WKCD is a government project in Hong Kong aiming to shape local culture and entertainment.
WKCDialogues has today launched an online campaign via multiple social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and You Tube to reach and engage the public.
The public is invited to contribute their vision for WKCD and shape the new cultural venue as a 'think-tank' for Hong Kong. Eric Schuldenfrei and Marisa Yiu, both creative director for the WKCDialogues said the project not only posts questions, but also provide statements and solutions to how WKCD can benefit people in Hong Kong.
Internationally recognised actor and film director Daniel Wu will launch the initiative followed by 100 other icons including government officials, artists and academics from Hong Kong also contributing their viewpoints online about the WKCD.
The campaign encourages people to fill in the blank and complete the slogan of 'I _ West Kowloon'. The online discussions are broken down into six topics including nature, building codes, ideas, demographics, networks and education. New content will be uploaded on a bi-weekly basis.
The PR effort is lead by Madison Communications. WKCDialogues will stay as an active site and be an archive of ideas from today onwards.
