"Y&R Brands has presented us a great package of skills and resources to further drive Jenny Craig’s recent impressive growth. We believe a fully integrated marcoms offer will deliver even better results for our business," Amy Smith, the company MD, said.

The account was previously handled by Big Red and Mark Communications. Smith added that the move was strategic and designed to strengthen ties with the global Y&R Group.

“I believed that Jenny Craig is a business with enormous potential,” echoed Russel Howcroft, CEO of Y&R Brands, “As increasing numbers of Australians have issues with their weight and require assistance in improving their diet and nutrition.”

Jenny Craig was founded in Australia in 1983, and currently operates 110 weight loss and nutrition centres across Australia and New Zealand.
