WE wins Wang Lao Ji

BEIJING - WE Marketing Beijing has won the creative development business for one of Wang Lao Ji's communication campaigns, this campaign will be broadcasted in 2009 and 2010.

WE wins Wang Lao Ji
The Chinese herbal tea brand has sales of around Rmb 8 billion (US$1 billion) a year, and is one of the most successful beverage brands in China in recent years.

WE won the brief following a competitive pitch with undisclosed agencies.

“Wang Lao Ji does not use a retainer agency for its marketing and advertising needs. Instead, it makes a couple of TVCs every year and selects ad agencies through pitches for each campaign,” explained Josh Li, managing director at WE.

“It’s a major step for us to put into practice our commitment to building local Chinese brands,” he added.
