Wang to lead Nielsen in Taiwan

TAIPEI - Market research firm Nielsen has promoted Jennifer Wang (pictured), a former client leader, to the position of managing director in Taiwan.

Wang to lead Nielsen in Taiwan
Wang replaces Gordon Stewart, who held the dual role of MD and chairman of Nielsen in Taiwan. He will stay on as chairman until June, when he will return to Australia. In a statement, Greater China president Mitch Barns described the move as “the culmination of over twelve months’ planning”.

A spokesperson for the company was unable to specify the accounts Wang would be involved with. Wang will report directly to Barns.

Separately, Nielsen is understood to be cutting 1,600 employees worldwide in a restructuring move.
