Vinita Bhatia appointed editor of Campaign India

Vinita Bhatia has been appointed editor of Campaign India, the country's leading source of brand experience, marketing communications, media and technology news, and analysis.

Based in Mumbai, Bhatia will lead the publication's editorial direction and daily coverage, reporting to Rahat Kapur, editor of Campaign Asia-Pacific.

Bhatia has more than two decades of experience in journalism, public relations, and corporate communications. Most recently, she was editor for startups at Outlook Business, a role she grew into after joining the company as editor for corporate and special projects.

Bhatia’s journalism career began with Oil Asia Journal as a correspondent. She spent a decade at CyberMedia India, starting as sub-editor of DQ Channels in 1999, and later rising to executive editor. She has also held senior editorial roles at Network18’s Moneycontrol, Times Group Books, Economic Times’ ET Edge, FourPlus Media, CXO WorldwideNewsCollective, ITP Media's Hotelier India, and Digital Studio magazines

"I am thrilled to embark on this journey with Campaign India, where every story has the potential to spark change and shape the future of marketing and advertising in one of the world's most dynamic markets," Bhatia said of her appointment. "I'm eager to collaborate with the team—Indian and global—and leverage our platform to amplify voices, champion innovation, and drive the industry forward, ensuring Campaign India continues to be the heartbeat of the marketing community."

"We are very excited to have Vinita join us as editor for Campaign India. Her extensive experience as a seasoned journalist and passion for storytelling will be invaluable to the brand, delivering more compelling, relevant, and interesting content across all platforms," added Kapur. "We also look forward to introducing new formats to provide greater data-led and industry-specific insights to our audiences in the near future."
