With over 20 years' presence in China, Marsh was the first foreign insurance broker to receive its WOFE (wholly-owned foreign enterprise) licence in China. It is also the largest foreign broker in the country.

Ruder Finn is charged with raising Marsh's profile in China, providing strategic counsel on communications strategy and planning, media communications outreach as well as raising the branding and awareness of the value of insurance broking and risk advising.

"Chinese companies are realising the importance of insurance and risk management in this fast growing economy," says Paul Wilkins, chairman & CEO of Marsh Greater China. "We believe with Ruder Finn's professional help, Marsh will further enhance its brand awareness in China to showcase the business community our expertise and in-depth experience in risk management and insurance solutions."

Ruder Finn's nationwide teams will provide Marsh with support and communications outreach in the next 12 months. It is the first major insurance account for Ruder Finn China.

Earlier this year, Ruder Finn also won the accounts of Givenchy and Hainan Airlines.
