Tata AIG selects MEC for consumer media

MUMBAI - MEC India has been appointed as the agency partner for Tata AIG General Life & Insurance subsidiary Tata AIG D2C (Direct to Consumer), following a four-way pitch.

Bates David handles the creative work for Tata AIG General Life & Insurance's main business, though it could not be confirmed at press time whether the agency would also manage the D2C creative.

The development comes at a critical time for the insurer, which has gone out of its way to assure worried customers that troubled AIG does not hold a majority stake in the company. For MEC India, this represents a foot in the door with one of the country’s flagship companies.
