Spin Communications names creative director in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - Local creative integrated solutions agency Spin Communications has strengthened its creative team with the appointment of new media specialist Adrian Ho as creative director.

Prior to relocating to Malaysia, Ho was based in Vietnam working for TBWA and JWT there. He worked on clients such as Nokia, PepsiCo, Ford, HSBC, Dulux Paints, Vietnam Breweries and ANZ Bank. He also had a short stint with OgilvyOne Malaysia as interactive creative director.

“Adrian’s hunger to communicate across new channels in new ways will help drive our philosophy of 'Kongsiness'," said Teh Le Vin, executive creative director of Spin. "[Kongsiness] essentially is all about creating brand stories that get shared and talked about.” Spin Communications relaunched its brand with this focus earlier this year.

Teh added that the agency is still looking to hire more creative talent with broad skills.

Ho is a part time DJ working under the alias of DJ Rksksa Mahluk Asing. On an earlier hiatus from advertising, he operated a nightclub in China. He is also an extreme sport enthusiast, who has been skating since the age of 15.

Reported in May, Spin Communications was appointed by national carmaker Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua (Perodua) to its product and service business, together with Lowe & Partners.
