Up to 150,000 tracks from Sony Music will be added to increase AMPed's repertoire to more than one million tracks.

The partnership will see artists such as Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Jay Chou, Wang Lee Hom and 2PM being added to the mix.

On the partnership, Edward Ying, chief of content and media services at SingTel, said: "Increasingly more customers are listening to music on their mobile phones. SingTel AMPed has upped the ante further and delivered its promise to bring incredible music entertainment content free across the widest range of handsets."

Birathon Kasemsri, MD of Sony Music Singapore and Thailand, said: "Sony Music is very pleased to have the music of all our leading international and regional artists available in Singapore via AMPed. Our primary goal is to ensure that our artists' music can be conveniently and legally accessed anytime, anywhere."

AMPed was launched in June last year with Universal Music Group. Sony Music is the first of the various labels that the service will be announcing this year to extend its music content offering.
