Dr. Christian Oversohl has moved from Europe to take on the position of SapientNitro’s lead for Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. He will be responsible for growing business across China, Singapore, Australia and India, and driving expansion across the region.

A 12-year Sapient veteran, Oversohl will continue to report to president and CEO Alan J. Herrick, and will work closely with SapientNitro Europe and North America leaders to ensure cross-geographic collaboration, particularly in support of global accounts.

Kim Douglas (pictured right) has been appointed to head up the Singapore office. He moves from Europe, where he was responsible for SapientNitro’s consumer products business in the region.

As managing director for Singapore, Douglas will focus on growing the regional hub and driving the expansion of key global clients across the region.

Both appointments were made in August.

Herrick, said the new leadership team in Asia-Pacific will allow the business to leverage the “tremendous opportunity” in the market.

“We are confident that Christian and Kim will facilitate our global clients in their expansion plans in this important market and in turn lead our APAC business to greater heights.”

The newly expanded SapientNitro Singapore office is currently working with global brands such as Citi, Unilever, Credit Suisse, and Coca Cola, and regional clients including RACQ, SingTel and Ferrero China.

"It is an exciting opportunity to lead the APAC business for SapientNitro at a time when Asia is expanding significantly and leading the way in many new technologies and consumer trends," said Oversohl . “With our investments in capabilities and talent, and our track record of client success, SapientNitro is in the right position to take advantage of the tremendous growth opportunities in the region.”
