Woo (pictured) will oversee Mandarin Oriental, Macau’s sales and marketing operations in reporting to general manager Martin Schnider.

Woo has over two decades of sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry in Asia-Pacific and Greater China. He joins from his position as director of travel trade sales at Hong Kong’s Disneyland Resort for over three years, where he was responsible for all travel trade-related sales and marketing and MICE activities for the theme park and its two hotels.

Prior to that, Woo worked for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group for seven years as regional director of business development for China, based in Shanghai, and as director of sales at The Excelsior in Hong Kong.

“We are delighted that Samson has re-joined Mandarin Oriental,” said Schnider. “His extensive experience in hospitality sales and marketing management, plus his knowledge of the brand, means he is well placed to drive our sales efforts in China and the region.”

Reported last month, Mandarin Oriental Group added Chinese Inner Mongolian singer Sa Ding Ding, pianist and actor Harry Connick Jr and French pianist Helene Grimaud to its multi-million dollar global 'Music fans' print campaign.
