Dossor (pictured) will take over from Naoki Fuchinoue, who will be moving to a client service-oriented position. He will report to I&S BBDO chief executive Kazutoyo Kato.

An Australian, Dossor has been based in Japan for 25 years. He became chairman and chief creative officer of MRM Japan in 2007, and recently founded Brandshare, a social media marketing consultancy.

Dossor said that the field of CRM had enormous growth potential in Japan. On Dossor’s appointment, Chris Thomas, chairman and chief executive of BBDO Asia, Africa and the Middle East and chairman of Proximity Worldwide, noted his “entrepreneurial spirit” and understanding of Japanese corporate culture.

“I am very confident in his ability to establish market leadership for Proximity in the Japanese market,” Thomas said.
