Leo Burnett reported that the participants in the pitch included the incumbent agency TBWA, DDB and Leo Burnett. A TBWA spokesperson confirmed that TBWA was the incumbent, having started with Centrum four years ago.

Leo Burnett Shanghai has also handled Caltrate and Robitussin for more than seven years.

"Our aim is to look for an agency partner that best understands our market and business needs, with proven abilities to deliver insightful and effective integrated communications for our brands," said Keith Choy, regional general manager, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, China and Hong Kong. "After careful consideration, we decided that a consolidation of all our PCH brands into Leo Burnett best suits our requirements."

Donald Chan, group chief executive officer of Leo Burnett China, commented that consumer healthcare is one of the fastest growing and highly competitive categories.
