Just two days after Rishi Jaitly, VP of media for Twitter Asia-Pacific broke the news of his resignation, Parminder Singh, managing director for India, Southeast Asia and MENA has followed suit.

In a statement, a Twitter spokesperson would only thank Singh for his contributions and leadership and refused to comment if it was in any way linked to the company's reported plans to downsize

" Parry felt now is an appropriate time for him to pursue other passions and work on his next adventure to help a content-based start up in Singapore and India," said the spokesperson. "Over the next month, he will be closely involved in transitioning the business to the new leadership for continuity and momentum."

Singh joined Twitter in 2013 from Google where he was regional director of display solutions.

As part of a sales restructuring process, continued the statement, Twitter's MENA region will be integrated into its EMEA business.

Southeast Asia and India will continue as part of its Asia-Pacific division, headed by Aliza Knox, VP of Asia-Pacific.

Parry's Southeast Asia and India duties will be taken over by Maya Hari who has been promoted to managing director from her previous role managing Twitter's ads product strategy and adoption for Asia-Pacific, MENA and Latin America. She will report directly to Knox.

Taranjeet Singh will continue as Twitter's business head for India.
