Mobext rolling out tool for multi-country mobile campaigns

Havas Digital mobile-marketing agency Mobext has announced the launch of a mobile-messaging platform that the company claims makes it easier to manage multi-country mobile campaigns.

The SAM (Simplified Automated Messaging) platform is already live in the Philippines (where it is managed), India and Argentina and will roll out in Indonesia, China, and Singapore, as well as several other markets in the Americas and Europe, before the end of the year.

The tool, which was built for global scale, not only eases the task of sending personalised, targeted SMS messages to an opt-in database but also supports two-way interaction such as contests and polls, as well as couponing, according to the company.

"The problem with most SMS marketing platforms is the high-degree of complexity as well as lack of global scale," said Arthur Policarpio, Asia-Pacific head of Mobext and chief executive officer of Mobext Philippines. "It is an extremely complicated process to secure short codes as well as SMS push pipelines on a per-country basis." SAM simplifies these tasks in an easy-to-use web-based platform, he added.
