Mike Daniels promoted to MD at Ogilvy & Mather Sydney

SYDNEY - Ogilvy & Mather Sydney has promoted Mike Daniels (pictured) from managing partner and head of strategy to the post of managing director, also overseeing OgilvyOne and Neo@Ogilvy.

Jhonnie Blampied will be taking over the vacant position as head of strategy. He was previously the CEO and chairman of DDB Australia, having joined Ogilvy Sydney last October. It is reported that he previously set up his own marketing and advertising business.

CEO of the Sydney network, Stuart O’Brien, explained that the appointments are part of a bigger development at management level. “The time is now right to change some of the ways we run things in order to give an even greater focus on delivering great work that works for our clients,” he said.
