Microsoft appoints new MD of Thai operations

BANGKOK - Microsoft has announced the appointment of Haresh Khoobchandani as managing director of Microsoft Thailand, effective immediately.

Khoobchandani has been appointed following the resignation of Birathon Kasemsri Na Ayudhaya, who  decided to step down to prioritise his time with his family.

As a Microsoft veteran, Khoobchandani has 15 years of experience in both the commercial and consumer businesses, as well as sales, marketing and leadership across large teams. Prior to his new role, Khoobchandani was the chief operating officer for Microsoft in Indonesia.

His previous roles at include chief marketing officer for the Asia-Pacific consumer and online business, as well as senior director roles across both the marketing, operations and the small and medium business and partner organisations in Singapore, Malaysian subsidiaries as well as in Asia-Pacific.

Khoobchandani said there is "more to come" in terms of Microsoft's business in Thailand, pointing to  innovation in the pipeline for businesses, consumers and developers.
