Carat will handle planning and buying for Neurobion and Sangobion, as well as the buying duties for Seven Seas vitamins, minerals, and supplements. The agency has also been awarded the search duties for Neurobion and Sangobion with iProspect.

Announcing the win, Ernita Ariestanty, COO of Carat Indonesia, said, “Our team in Indonesia is delighted with this win, particularly following a four-way pitch. Merck is one of the leading companies in Indonesia, and we are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.”

The account, with billings of US$2 million, came after a pitch against three other agencies, according to Carat.

“I am very pleased to be working with Carat," said Feni Herawati, head of marketing for consumer health care at Merck. "The company consists of talented media people who are very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. I believe my brands are in good hands.”

Ashish Bhasin, chairman for India and chief executive officer for Southeast Asia at Aegis Media, said, “This latest win, of which we are very proud, builds on the rapid growth trend that we have seen in our Indonesian operations, and I am sure Tanty, under the leadership of Yusca Ismail and Achjuman Achjadi, will take Carat Indonesia to greater heights."
