Mercedes-Benz promotes Mao Jingbo to VP marketing in China

BEIJING - Mao Jingbo, who has been marketing director for Mercedes-Benz (China) since 2007, has been promoted to vice-president of marketing.

Mao (pictured) will report to Bjoern Hauber, EVP of the company.

Before joining the German auto giant, Mao was senior VP at Ruder Finn Beijing, where she managed all their key accounts including Audi.

Mao is a well-known career women and 'celebrity' in the marketing industry in China. Before her stint in PR, she worked as a journalist for China Daily as one of the first reporters covering the classical music beat in China.

BBDO, MEC and Fleishman-Hillard are the current agency partners for Mercedes-Benz in China.
