Media Contacts appoints Saurabh Shanker as the associate director of search

SINGAPORE – Saurabh Shanker (pictured) has joined Media Contacts Singapore, the digital specialist agency under MPG, as the associate director of search for Southeast Asia.

Based in Singapore, Shanker is to develop the search engine optimisation (SEO) and marketing (SEM) for the SEA region. He will also manage the web analytics practice.

Major clients under his consultancy are DBS, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Study Adelaide.

Shanker will report to Gautam Dutt, director of Media Contacts Southeast Asia. Shanker's previous roles have focused on paid search, media buying, CEO and link bulding. His five years of online marketing includes most recently the associate director at Media Contact's sister agency Ecselis and group lead at for the search unit at Ishir Infotech.

Dutt added that Shanker will add to the optimistic expansions of Media Contacts in search, and for large clients across the globe.

Managing director Rajeev Bala said Media Contacts is going ahead with the plans to expand across Southeast Asia and India. "We believe that this investment in talented and qualified people will see us continue to lead the growth in the digital agency space," he said.
