UM Guangzhou was the incumbent agency. Ping An uses a number of creative agencies for different products.

The appointment is effective in January when Maxus Guangzhou will take charge of the national-wide media strategic and tactical planning duties.

The agency said their good understanding of the client's vision and consumers' life attitude in different tier markets in China was responsible for them winning the pitch.

Ping An Insurance Group was established in 1998 in Shekou, Shenzhen. The Group has since then developed into an integrated financial services conglomerate with insurance, banking and investment business at its core, and is listed in Hong Kong.
