Market Research Society of Singapore names Piers Lee as president

SINGAPORE - Piers Lee (pictured), managing director of Kadence International, has been elected president of the Market Research Society of Singapore (MRSS).

Market Research Society of Singapore names Piers Lee as president
Founded in 2000, the MRSS aims to unite research practitioners and stakeholders across the industry while promoting best practice and co-operation among research organisations through education and training.

Lee founded Kadence International’s first Asian office in Singapore in 2004, and has been involved in the development of its regional network in Asia, with a particular focus on Malaysia.

He said: “One of our key challenges is maintaining industry standards as market competition becomes increasingly fierce. Next year I will personally reach out to clients, suppliers and interviewers to better understand their concerns and issues. Based on this feedback, the society plans to bring in new certifications specific to primary data collection, to enhance overall confidence in the services being used by clients.”

In addition, the new president is looking to establish an annual awards initiative to recognise stakeholders who contribute to the market research industry. Lee is further looking to expand the MRSS offering through additional educational and training events and seminars.
