She has more than 17 years of experience in delivering public relations programmes for blue-chip multinational and leading Asia Pacific conglomerates including HP, 3Com, Ketchum, GE, FedEx, Apple and Chubb Insurance.

She was most recently the regional manager (media, analyst and influencer relations) at HP’s Personal Systems Group, Asia Pacific and Japan, developing and leading its external and influencer relations across the region for the past five years.

She also provided high-level counsel to senior management and country leads across the region, while managing HP’s issues and crisis management programme on a regional level.

Teo was credited as the first communications specialist to introduce a social media focus into HP’s communications strategy. Following the success of the programme in the Asia Pacific region, HP adopted social media as an integral part of their global communications strategy.

Previously, she also worked with MDK, the PR agency within the Batey Group, as its group client services director, leading both the IT and Corporate practices.

Beth Kennedy, executive director of T\PR, noted that Teo’s extensive regional experience will be invaluable to its clients – both multinational and local – who are increasingly seeking to expand at a regional level.

“It’s great to have Liana back in the agency business. Her social media skills will also boost the agency’s ability to maximise our reach into the digital world,” she added.
