Leo Burnett Sydney picks up 2011 Census business

SYDNEY – Leo Burnett has been appointed by the Australia Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to handle the 2011 Census following a competitive pitch.

Head of the ABS Census Programme Paul Lowe said, "We are very excited about the partnership with Leo Burnett and really look forward to working with them. The Census is the ABS' largest and most important statistical collection, and the advertising campaign we will develop with Leo Burnett will be vital for its success.”

The next Census, Australia’s 16th, is planned for the night of 9 August 2011.
