Ketchum names Shanghai GM

SHANGHAI - Ketchum Greater China has named Ross Hughes (pictured) as GM of its Shanghai operation, succeeding Penny Burgess, who will continue in a freelance capacity.

Hughes reports to Kenneth Chu, partner and CEO at Ketchum Greater China, and will work closely with Betty Lo, president, Ketchum Greater China, and Chris Liu, partner & EVP Greater China. He will oversee clients such as FedEx, McDonald’s and Eaton.

With over a decade of experience in Greater China and Asia, Hughes was most recently GM at the Hoffman Agency, where he served key regional accounts including Google and Dassault Systems in Hong Kong.

Hughes was also previously the corporate and financial practice director for Ogilvy Public Relations in Hong Kong, and a director at Gavin Anderson.
