JWT names CEO for Pakistan
Karim will oversee three offices including Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad as well as agencies T-Media and Contract, both based in Karachi. JWT is also planning to expand its service offerings in Pakistan in the near future by launching the first international activation company in the country.

Among the WPP firm’s key clients in the market is Mobilink, the largest telecommunications service provider in Pakistan with a customer base of 30 million.

Michael Maedel, president of JWT, said Karim “has been able to improve the quality of our work and increase our client base”.

“When I first became managing director, my first priority was nurturing existing clients and motivating the team to create inspirational creative work and to target new business opportunities,” added Karim in a release. “I began to tap into JWT’s global network to bring in leaders in creative and strategy to motivate the team. Through one such session, the local team brainstormed an idea that was ultimately used in an upcoming global Unilever campaign.”
